IPTV World Series rolls out in Dubai

The Middle East & Africa are the fastest growing broadband markets in the world, with the EMEA region presently accounting for 48% of worldwide IPTV service revenue.  The Middle East and Africa promise significant growth opportunity across the telecoms sector in the next five years, and as competition intensifies, operators are expected to employ attractive services such as IPTV to both retain customers and attract new ones.

With this in mind, the IPTV World Series arrives in the region with its inaugural event – IPTV World Forum Middle East & Africa (www.iptv-mea.com) taking place on the 5th and 6th November 2007 at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai, UAE.

The conference will feature leading content suppliers and broadcasters speaking and a program featuring platform operators; content providers and systems integrators discussing IPTV service deployment issues; an industry exhibition with up to 35 leading technology providers; Networking party for all delegates at a premier venue

The conference will also deal with the strategic and technical issues facing the deployment of IPTV in the region, and will use specific examples to demonstrate the varying methods used to overcome these. Confirmed speakers include;

 Mickael Ghossein, CEO of Jordan Telecom
 Tariq Habib, Head of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships at Etisalat, UAE
 Khaled Taha, Director of Technology at Al Jazeera Network
 Sarat Lallah, CEO of Mauritius Telecom
 Marc-Antoine d'Halluin, President and CEO of Showtime Arabia, UAE.
 Khireddine Slimane, General Manager, Algérie Telecom
